Join Music Director William Boughton and the NHSO in a summer celebration of all things American. American Earth features Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Sousa’s Liberty Bell March, Copland’s Rodeo, Leroy Anderson’s Horse & Buggy and Fiddle Faddle, and Barber’s Knoxville Summer of 1915. The concert will be conducted by Music Director William Boughton and features soprano, Samantha Talmadge.

An innovative feature of these performances is an audience play-a-long. Instrumentalists young and old will be able to download copies of three well known works: The Star Spangled, America the Beautiful, and the Pomp and Circumstance March, rehearse their parts, and bring their instrument, music and music stand to the concert that night.

Towards the end of the concert "community performers" will be invited to play-a-long with the NHSO (with a little coaching by NHSO Music Director William Boughton).

To request music ahead of time please click this link to send an email request. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND INSTRUMENT THAT YOU PLAY.
